About Me

I have been humbled by the opportunity to witness the growth of so many individuals in my work. It is an honor to walk alongside individuals, through their path of healing. In my 12 years as a professional Art Therapist, I have provided art therapy and trauma-informed practice to individuals across the age spectrum and from a variety of backgrounds. I opened my solo practice in 2015, and aim to treat adults who have experienced trauma. As an official partner with The Headstrong Project, I provide no-cost trauma informed therapy to post 9/11 combat veterans. If you would like more information or to see if you are eligible for services, you can visit The Headstrong Project's website here

I am a 2011 graduate of The George Washington University's Art Therapy program. During my time in the program, I interned with military dependents at Ft Belvoir and adults with acute mental illness in South East, DC.

In my professional career, I have worked across the age spectrum. I co-lead a Creative Arts Therapy day program for Older Adults with memory and cognitive impairments in Springfield, VA. I was employed with the City of Alexandria's Youth and Family team, working with youth under the age of 18 with issues related to trauma, life transitions/stressors, school based issues and court involvement. Additionally, I worked as an adjunct professor for the GW Art Therapy Program. I taught Adolescent Art Therapy, Human Development, and Practicum Supervision.

In addition to counseling services, I provide supervision for counselors in residence in Virginia and Maryland. I also provide Art Therapy supervision for those working towards their ATR-BC. Learn more about my supervision offerings here
